Episcopal Church Faults Bishop For Biblical Orthodoxy

John Stonestreet

Last week the Episcopal Church found Bishop William Love guilty of defying church orders because he told his clergy not to recognize same-sex weddings. He’s violating a church order adopted by the Episcopal Church in 2012 – incredibly recent for a church more than 200 years old and a faith more than two-thousand years old.

This new order declares same-sex marriages part of Episcopalian orthodoxy. Bishop Love, pointing to the documents that govern the church disagrees.

What’s at stake here is the theme of a new book by apologist and former recording artist Alisa Childers. In Another Gospel: A Lifelong Christian Seeks Truth in Response to Progressive Christianity, Childers confronts and dismantles progressive reimagining of Christianity. This month, we’ll send you a free copy of Childers’ book for a gift of any amount to Breakpoint and the Colson Center. Come to to get your copy.
